If we’d intended for the content of this Stylized PowerPoint-to-Video to build brand endearment through the power of positive association, as most any other marketing communications strategy would have wisely done, we probably would have given it a different title or hook.
Perhaps: One Skill Never Grows Old. Do you know what it is? View the video to find out.
Or alternatively: One Skill Every Parent Should Champion. Do you know what it is? View the video.
Or even: What Every Parent Should Know from Day One. Hit PLAY
For businesses that want their online presence to help build their brand image, these titles for the video, in conjunction with the nature of the content, would be more effective than the one we chose.
So Why Didn’t We Brand
We elected to go another route because we had another purpose in mind. In fact, we wanted to illustrate 3 other things about this Stylized PPT-to-Video:
- At MSM we advocate the idea of adding luster to your brand image by supporting anything related to promoting the social good. Particularly if the content is something your customers can embrace because it coincides with their values, beliefs or what’s relevant to them. The above content, for instance, might be especially suited for use with a family oriented business or perhaps one in the child-care industry. The idea is to construct a sense of community around common social values your customers can share with your brand. And to send the message you’re giving back in some fashion or form to the community that supports your enterprise.
- Because the advent of online social networking, digital media and content marketing has triggered a voracious pressure to keep your online content fresh and dynamic, oftentimes without any hard selling, then a well-executed social good campaign becomes an excellent strategy for keeping the content fresh and relevant while tightening your bond with customers, stakeholders and prospects. By doing it in parallel with other content marketing that is much more brand specific, you can foster a brand image that seamlessly connects your enterprise with the perception of a commitment to promoting socially good causes. Such an initiative capitalizes on the power of positive association.
- We also wanted to illustrate how the Stylized PowerPoint-to-Video can be a terrific asset in the midst of this endeavor. We once described our stylized video process as an infographic on steroids. We chose that characterization because it incorporates many of the same visually compelling design elements often found in an infographic, but then imports them into an environment that welcomes fluid and dynamic motion.
The result is an animated infographic that is far less expensive to create than a comparably produced video. We call it the Stylized PowerPoint-to-Video or Stylized PPT-to-Video.
BTW, one skill really never does grow old. Have you watched the video yet?
