small business mobile marketing from a consumer perspective

by Kenneth Rudich

With Marketing Strategy Management in the midst of developing and posting a video series for small business mobile marketing, it seemed apropos to add these videos as well.

We are not endorsing any product per se.  Rather, we feel these videos are useful for illustrating – and reinforcing – the content contained in our video series titled, “Small Business Marketing Going Mobile.”

In the most recent installment, Part 2, “Marketing Strategies for Capitalizing on Mobile Technology,” we discussed two mobile marketing strategies, and also two tactics from the total of six that were briefly introduced in the module.  Of course, the tactics are intended to support the strategies.

In upcoming modules, we’ll explore the four remaining tactics, and we’ll also provide a summary of current best practices.

Since our video series concentrates on mobile marketing primarily from a business perspective, we thought it be nice for you to also get a glimpse from the consumer perspective.  These two videos offer a window on that perspective.  They are a particularly good teaser for the soon-to-be-released module that addresses location-based mobile marketing, where you’ll learn how this technology is transforming the landscape for small and local business promotion – especially as it pertains to generating customer traffic.  The above videos complement Part 1 of our series too.

In this age of cultivating customer engagement – rather than strictly be focused on constantly selling – mobile technology is providing a leg up for doing just that.   We hope you’ll find our video series informative, educational and, perhaps most important of all, useful for the future of your business endeavor.

Feel free to join in the discussion with comments, observations and experiences.  We always like to hear from others, and to share their insights.

Meanwhile, enjoy these videos and stay tuned for the next Marketing Strategy Management mini-training module on “Small Business Marketing Going Mobile Part 3.”
